Iranian movie ‘Jamshidieh’ has been competing at the 11th edition of the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival in the US.
Directed by Yalda Jebeli, the 92-minute film is about Taraneh and Amir, a young couple who fight with a taxi driver in the street on Amir’s birthday.
While fighting, Taraneh hits the taxi driver with her mobile phone to defend Amir.
After a day, they find out that the taxi driver has died and Taraneh could be the culprit.
She wants to turn herself in to the police as the murderer, but Amir stops her and tries to calm her down.
The cast list of ‘Jamshidieh’ includes Sara Bahrami, Hamed Komeili, Pantea Panahiha, Saeed Changizian, Setareh Pesyani, Neda Jebraeeli, Shadi Karamroudi, Leili Farhadpour, as well as the directors Kioumars Pour-Ahmad and Bahram Azimi.
The five-day Julien Dubuque film festival hosts films from around the world and attracts filmmakers and film lovers.
The 2022 edition of the event started on April 20 and will end on April 24.
